Liva Photo ("the app", "we") is built and operated by an individual developer. We respect your privacy and have designed the app to collect as little data as possible.

What we collect

We do not collect any personally identifiable information. Liva Photo does not run an account system, does not have a backend server, and does not send any of your photos, videos, or usage data to us or any third party.

What stays on your device

Everything you do in Liva Photo — picking a video, editing it, generating a Live Photo — happens locally on your iPhone or iPad. The source video, the generated paired video, and the cover image are all written to temporary storage and then either saved to your Photos library (with your permission) or deleted.

Photo library access

Liva Photo requests access to your photo library for two purposes:

• Read access: to load the original full-resolution version of the video you choose, including videos that iCloud "Optimize iPhone Storage" has replaced locally with a smaller proxy. Reading happens entirely on-device.
• Save access: to write the generated Live Photo back to your Photos library.

You can revoke either permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Photos → Liva Photo.

Cloud

If you choose a video that lives only in iCloud, Liva Photo asks iCloud to download the original to your device through Apple's standard APIs. We never see, store, or transmit your iCloud content.

In-app purchases

Liva Photo offers a one-time Pro purchase, processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We never receive your name, billing address, or payment card information.

Children

Liva Photo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone.

Changes

If we update this policy, the new version will appear in-app with an updated "Last updated" date.
